Cranberry apostrophes
This month's offering from our favourite pub (the Cranberry is opposite the Whitespace offices), advertises their recently installed plasma screen.
In addition to the offending apostrophe they’ve also now discovered phonetics - or is that phonetic’z, for added impact. Good beer though and fancy dress some weekends.
The £10 short sleeve shirt
Got nothing better to do today? Make an origami shirt out of a one dollar bill, or if you're feeling flush, a tenner.
Impress everyone at the pub or Christmas party with your dexterous origami skills. Best of all you don't need any fancy paper or scissors, just some good old folding currency.
Thanks to our client NorthgateArinso for supplying this one.
Staying sharp with "Crazy" tea
Our lead developer has all of us drinking 'Yerba Mate' tea.
We lovingly call it "Crazy" tea as it looks like twigs and dust in a cup. Mouthful of gravel aside, every time you take a sip, it does have some great health benefits and has a very high antioxidant capacity, higher even than green tea.
New findings also suggest that it helps prevent some types of cancer. Mate extract has been shown to be a very potent inhibitor of oxidative stress - blimey, it must be good!
Give us a call to let us know you're coming and we'll put the kettle on.
Life's a Pitch - Stephen Bayley and Roger Mavity
"The pitch is the absolute essence of modern business. Ideas are the most valuable commodity in the modern economy and it is human skill which develops them. In pitching for new business, ideas and emotional intelligence dominate. however the skills of the pitch are not only relevant to the world of business, rather they apply to just about every significant personal transaction in your life."
Life's a Pitch is a great how-to book and a manual for modern life. It's a great read for anyone who has to pitch their ideas or indeed sell themselves to influence the outcome of almost any situation. Highly recommended.
